Recreational communities use approximately half of their water for irrigating grass. 

Sun Dale encourages water conservation through the use of natural varieties of grasses, and xeriscaping.

Nevertheless,  within the community and the private yards of homewoners there is significant lawn area to water.  The development is providing untreated lake water through a separate underground irrigation system, to enable watering.

This water will be obtained directly from the lake, or from rainwater collection stations.
